What keeps you from taking action
Dec 04, 2023
As 2023 is slowly but surely coming to its end, it's easy to avoid taking acion as the year is almost over anyway.
But let me tell you this: we don't need a new year or official starting point to finally take action and start working on our goals to make our dreams become a reality.
We can choose to start any day, at any time.
But what keeps us from taking action?
Mostly, it’s one of these things that we keep telling ourselves (but that are actually not true):
❌ "I don’t have time."
Ask yourself: Are you actually not having time, or are you afraid?
Afraid of taking the first step, afraid of inevitable change, or afraid of the responsibility that comes with initiating new beginnngs?
These underlying fears that are based on the false beliefs above often prevent us from making that first step.
❌ "It’s not the right time yet."
...but when is it ever the right time?
While it may be true that it's just not the time for something yet, most often, we are just procrastinating.
Sometimes, there's divine timing at play and we cannot do anything about it. But if we never start moving in the direction we want, how will we know?
The universe will make it obvious whenever it wants to redirect us.
❌ "I need to do X before I can do what I actually want to do."
This belief often boils down to feeling 'not good enough' or 'not there yet'. But is it actually true?
Yes, sometimes we need to learn something or upgrade our skills before we can do something. But how often are we just telling ousreselves these things as an excuse to stay in our comfort zone?
As soon as you start moving in the direction you want, the universe will have to shift around you. Nothing will move if you don't move.
I recorded this Podcast episode that is all about what keeps you from taking action & making time for the things you actually want to do.
So I hope for you that you will use these last few weeks of 2023 to finally take action. Take the pressure off and start today. Don't wait for an official new year. Make your own rules.
You've got this!
With Love,
Elaine Valerie
